Pros

Coworkers were always great, as well as most in mid level management. Expectations were always pretty straightforward.

Cons

Upper management would tend to talk about change, but in reality they were always the ones who were always pushing back against the change. Lots of red tape which made it difficult to innovate/streamline processes & procedures. Low pay compared to competitors

Pros

Great earnings potential. Gorgeous materials, our own factory. Easy product to sell. Good team vibe at the showroom level. Great manager and co-sales people. I like my job because of my coworkers.

Cons

Big disconnect between HQ and both the consumer and the sales people. HQ does NOT listen, though they position themselves as they do - frustration abounds in this org but it is not recognized. You earn every cent of your commission. You are required to do way more admin work than any other sales position on the planet. If you are earning well, you most likely will get burnt out. Cannot make a decision without getting another dept. involved. They are all slow to respond if they respond at all. I am constantly hunting down info that takes so much back-and-forth e-mail and time, valuable time. Kohler support is great, but Ann Sacks is a small company with the red-tape of a huge org.

HSV Admin stretched thin and stressed

Pros

Relaxed dress code and that’s all

Cons

When one admin employee gets too overwhelmed and stressed they quit. Kohler then gives half of their undesirable work to another employee instead of giving it to the new hire. The person that had the undesirable work dumped on them then gets stressed and leaves and the cycle continues. They pinch pennies and won’t even buy you a decent work lunch. They used to and now they just buy cold subs. Do not expect hard work to be noticed or rewarded. I didn’t not receive a raise on my 1 year or 2 year work anniversary even though my workload and efficiency increased two fold. The hourly manufacturing employees get bonuses, raises, etc every year. Brand new admin employees have been offered $5,000 sign on bonuses for doing NOTHING so far. Seasoned admin employees that worked hard through the pandemic got nothing, yet we can’t make bathtubs fast enough to keep up with the demand? They will, however, quickly point out mistakes. Corporate likes to try to run the ship from their ivory towers in Wisconsin. Do not work here. It will be a dead end job. You’ll be lucky to last 2 years. They reward employees that are narcissistic and ignore employees that are hard working, polite, and soft spoken.
