Pros

Large multinational company with a good reputation. Good benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, pension. Privately held with over 80% of profit reinvested in the company.

Cons

Bad location: the Village of Kohler is only 2,000 people, Sheboygan is only 50,000. Bad location if you are young. If you are married with kids it is a pretty good place. Although the benefits are good, actual pay is below average in most positions.

Pros

interdepartmental work, the people you work with are great to be around and work with, free golf for employees of the golf courses and discounted rates for non course employees. Good summer opportunity for those in school or looking for seasonal employment with no desire to advance.

Cons

Management, Management, Management!!!!!! All upper management and even some lower level management is only there for themselves. They may lead you on and say that you are a valued employee but any chance they get they will tare you down. Management will take all credit for positive events and make excuses and dish out all the negatives. In my case, and for many others, I was more educated and qualified for management positions and that is why they will cut you down every chance they get.

- Intelligent People - Great support system - Well recognized brand which people are proud to be a part of. - Well compensated - Fun atmosphere with inter departmental competition

Cons

- If you lead the large ship, it takes time to moves so you must be patient when developing new products. - No training, only the fittest survive. Learn on your own type training. - ACT (Authorized Corporate Transaction) required for every decision. - Decisions can take while, and it all starts with at the interview process. 3 months waiting for an answer due to the ACT process.
