Poor production management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

It’s a pay check and benefits. Support teams and support team managers like maintenance are great.

Cons

Poor culture, operations level production management is unprofessional. Plastic plant manager is never on site and not involved. Young leaders put in place with limited knowledge of jobs and poor managerial skills. High turnover in operations due to negative culture.

Pros

They are a design leader. They offered many valuable learning experiences over the course of my employment. Paid a good salary for a rural location (but still under market value). Historic charm. A long-standing American manufacturing company (despite most manufacturing happening in other parts of the world).

Cons

Traditional culture with transactional work relationships. Individual competition is encouraged vs team collaboration which results in a cut-throat environment. This is evidenced by their highest employee award of the BOLD individual presented yearly by the CEO and the “whatever it takes” award. Status quo products despite innovation claims. Nearly no state of the art working conditions. Poor quality products despite design leadership. Politically charged ways of working means half of the effort you give will simply be to navigate/survive the culture.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share candid feedback - it's an important way to help us identify where we can continue to grow. While we're thrilled to hear you appreciated being part of the brand and found opportunities for development, we're disappointed to learn you felt the environment was less than collaborative. Our people are what make us great, and it's important to us that every associate feels appreciated! We certainly hope you took the time to share more details about this with your leader or HR partner during your time with us, and we'll be sure to pass along your comments.
