Pros

The company itself is great and is a solid leader in its industry with new, unsurpassed technology that keep it on the tip of the spear of the industry. The job that I have is fun, and I really do enjoy most of the people with whom I work. Also, Chattanooga is a beautiful and amazing place to live, and I can see HQ moving here one day.

Cons

The pay is extremely low. I learned this after about a year or so of working here. I am considered the most senior at what I do and continually max out my annual goals, yet I am about $15k underpaid, currently. The company gives pretty much the same raise to everyone, meaning the dirtbag you work with got the same raise as you. Also, the company is organized in a VERY flat way, meaning there is very little opportunity for promotion unless someone above you quits or gets fired. If you don't mind moving laterally with not much pay raise, then this is your company.

Pros

World class construction products with few peers from an engineering, manufacturing and machine performance standpoint. Very talented and professional employees in most functional areas of the day to day operations. Company is small enough and has the financial strength to quickly react to changing market conditions and has the potential to seriously challenge larger competitors in reacting to these changes.

Cons

Fundamentally incompetent senior management within the new machine sales function for all practical purposes neuters this company's potential to grow and retain market share by exploiting the strengths of the company as listed above. An outstanding engineering and manufacturing company hamstrung by a critical failure to understand the American construction equipment market and its own distribution.

Pros

Good pay & Benefits package.

Cons

Management yells at employees, extreme demoralization, bullying by top Longview Sr. Management. HR will not do anything about it. I’ve seen them let go 2 employees with disabilities recently. Each of them had no chance with the extreme harassment and obvious disability discrimination from Sr. Management.
