Terrible Environment For Work

Pros

When it first started out, much more involved with the students, helping kids with their math and really forming bonds with them.

Cons

Company shifted focus to squeeze more kids in throughout the day to maximize profits, but this lead to all of the employees being required to work on grading 100% of the time and only 1 person (the manager) got to go around helping kids. Made it an incredibly boring job. Pay was $9.00 an hour, the only raise I ever got was to $9.25. No benefits, no HR, you just report straight to your one boss and if they are terrible you're out of luck.

Pros

The bathroom and fridge and exit door were close by.

Cons

Insultingly low pay and unpaid forced holidays and other days, and no sick days, promotions or raises. Discrimination in who gets extra hours. Meaningless idiotic drone like work, MUCH better done by machines. No assists, or handhelds allowed . No teaching or coaching. And anyone relying on work like this would need SIX jobs to keep body and soul together.

Pros

You get to work with instructors and students and have a direct impact on improving business practices and instruction. The vast majority of the employees with KNA corporate really do care a about the instructors and students and are great to work with. The PTO is great too if you can take any of it.

Cons

Pay varies wildly and can be subpar. The same position can have over a $50k range with the same level of experience. The benefits are good, but there is no choice on insurance. There is no High Deductible w/ HSA plan option. The biggest complaint is that unless you are at HQ or willing to move to HQ then there is really no way to advance to a new position in this company. That means the turnover in this position is very high. Also, the company is pretty backwards in many IT practices and there are way too many outdated and redundant forms to fill out.
