Pros
A growing company, benefits pretty much match the industry standard of like sized companies, great opportunity to grow yourself through employer paid trainings, the company has all the right values in regards to safety. The Quality Control department is extremely well run by senior QC management. Quality Control functions in this company as it should: An entirely separate function that does not have a chain of command that intermingles in anyway with production.
Cons
In my opinion, the company has failed to innovate and change with the times. Management is "old-school". They believe more in paying your dues than putting the best man in the job. They attempt to mask this mind set by putting "opportunities" in front of you. These opportunities for the most part never come to be. I will second the thoughts of the reviewer who mentioned the good old boy system in regards to promotions. Local management has very little respect for employee morale and frequently say things like "I've got a business to run". It's unfortunate that they fail to realize the business wouldn't exist without the little people. I suppose to them, none of that is going to add any more into their bonus structure. In closing, you can go bust your hump for these people, pour out your heart and soul into your work and wind up fired over something that you had no idea was taking place in the corporate office. They chew on you while you taste good and then spit you out at their discretion.
