Pros

PTO, various leave, health, off every other friday and some remote

Cons

Great if you want to fit in with clicky teams. Some teams are slightly better than others, but you will probably be in a team led by someone that has been at the company for 20+ years and refuses to change to improve the process even for the better. There is a huge lack of communication between internal teams due to politics, which wasted a lot of money. The performance review process is subjective regardless of the amount of work you completed. The HTC food is mostly not that good for the price. This is a greate place to skate by if you don't care. Avoid this place if you actually care.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are glad to see that you appreciated the benefits we offer that allow for a flexible work environment, including 9/80 and discretionary PTO. Innovation is the responsibility of all our employees, and we are sorry to hear that you did not feel that this was supported on your team. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the food offerings at the HTC. Many of our employees find value in and enjoy the wide variety of dishes offered at a fair price. We wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Great tech! Infrared tech for military and government. Rockets and spaceships on the other side of the building. Great place to learn. Great place for new hires especially now.

Cons

Since the merger management is encouraging older workers to seek employment elsewhere to free up some cash. Things like eliminating accumulated vacation time and reducing vacation time for employees with greater than twenty years service. Liquidity is low so they are not offering to buyout older workers. The next step is a layoff of some older, higher paid workers along with some younger employees to keep it legal. Not the first time. Expect it sooner than later. I was not personally affected. I got out in time. Winter is coming.

Thank you for your review. We agree; we have great technology, a passion for our customers’ missions and a strong values-based culture where ethics, integrity and respect for all individuals are foundational. We are sorry to hear your thoughts on the upcoming vacation policy - many find our generous vacation policy employee-friendly and we are confident in the competitiveness of our total rewards package.

Pros

Managers knew not to micromanage. They only required bi-weekly reports and a monthly report, plus occasional check-ins to see if I needed help with any of my work. Often went out to lunch together.

Cons

IT was a problem. Had to set up my own computer day 1. Had to call a different division 3 time zones back every time an IT problem occurred. No admin access to install or update programs on any computer, even for managers.
