Pros

Coworkers become close. I suppose this is due to the collective feeling of misery.

Cons

There are too many to list but among many: Top heavy management and not enough people doing the actual work Corporate management constantly coming up with initiatives that are rolled out like in a dictatorship, with little regard for impact on business and customers Executive leadership in Florida spend their days inventing new metrics they want captured, thus allowing little time for employees to do value added work

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. This is not the type of experience we want any of our employees to have, but hearing both the pros and cons from different experiences will help us continually improve our policies and procedures. We wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

I work at the Greenville, TX facility. This facility has a lot of unique, interesting projects going on at all times. Down at the lower levels of engineering (individual contributors and supervisors) the team atmosphere is great. I enjoy going to work every day because of the people and the projects.

Cons

The middle management and up has a history of not fostering a great team environment, not pushing for better personnel policies, and they generally add more bueacracy rather than keep it minimized. However, the rising workforce seems much more dedicated to taking care of these issues. I predict that with time things will improve on these fronts. While most of the teams of individual contributors are great team atmospheres, a few supervisors aren't great at fostering that and it shows in their turnover rates.

Pros

1. The vacation is decent but unlimited is just so then don’t have to pay out. Honestly there are not many good things to say about this place. Especially in PSPC. It is just a disaster.

Cons

1. Management is horrendous and unethical. They don’t care about field issues unless the customer is big. 2. Company does not use or understand Agile/Scrum. Managers are too set in there ways to do things differently. 3. Information Technology department is incompetent. You can wait several months for things and then they won’t be done right. It is impossible to get any work done with all the restrictions and it keeps getting worse. They have their hands in way too much and you can’t get any work done. 4. If you are good/competent you are expected to do several jobs. There are not enough people to do the work but they certainly have enough managers. 5. The performance improvement plan can take up to two years . Company doesn’t know how to hire or fire. 6. There are some extremely smart senior engineers here but there are also a bunch of senior engineers undeserving of the title. 7. The deadlines are unrealistic and the managers do not know how to properly plan and execute a project. 8. The outsourcing movement is ridiculous. Maybe learn from the first several times projects cost too much money and failed. Will do anything to save a buck. 9. Management does not back up their employees and will make decisions just to benefit themselves. 10. Some of the tools they want you to use to do your job don’t even work correctly for modern day projects . Too many overlapping tools and many of them are complete garbage. Management will not fight to fix these issues. 11. High level engineers and managers swear at each other and get into fights. It is like kindergarten for adults. 12. When you tell yourself it can’t possibly get any worse it does... 13. Compensation doesn’t match the unorthodox amount of jobs they want you to do. Meanwhile the incompetent ones get away with doing nothing. Good people get overworked and stressed here. 14. There are so many lies and management is always changing their mind. 15. Politics are so bad it is impossible to get any real work done.
