Pros

Easy to get in the door because they need to create revenue by having people in seats. Working for the Corporate Office you will be treated like a real person.

Cons

- No work life balance working in SIS for Software engineers … constant 60 hours week. - This is a matrix organization, the program team is who you interact with daily except for a couple weeks out of the year when the functional team works on raises. This is exactly how it sounds the functional team really does not know your contribution. - No technical or professional training, just compliance training. Don’t expect to grow technically. They will tell you during the interview or on this website that they train, but they do not technically train engineers when they work on programs. - No work life balance working in SIS for Software engineers … constant 60 hours week. The problem is that other local companies have better pay and raises locally so engineers are frequently leaving. This void causes overtime to make up for lost schedule. They do not redistribute engineers to offset for other programs that are understaffed or overworked. So it is a flip of the coin but it has affected my life - HR team that is not very friendly or approachable. This is a major problem, the HR cannot be trusted and as long as you know they are not there for employees but the company and treat them that way you will be fine. - Toxic Engineering Management -Small raises like government ... same raise pool for all disciplines

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. This is not the feedback we like to receive, and we are sorry to hear that you are feeling a disruption in your work/life balance. We do offer technical training for our engineering population, and it is unfortunate to hear that the availability of the training has not been communicated to you. Please reach out to your HR Business Partner or segment Learning & Development team for more information. If you have any ethical concerns around your management, we encourage you to reach out to our Ethics & Compliance Helpline (www.L3HarrisHelpline.com or 877-532-6339).

Pros

Nice people to work with a lot of work to keep you busy Dress for your day casual dress code

Cons

All employees want to be on a 9/80 schedule. The CEO won't allow all emloyees to have that! They advertise unlimited vacation, however, if you are an hourly employee you do not get the unlimited vacation. That's only given to managers and above. Also, if you're an hourly employee that is required to work a 5/8 schedule and you have any personal appts or business to handle, you will be required to use your PTO time. If you are on a 9/80 schedule at least you can use your off day for appts without it affecting your PTO time and your time away from work. They wouldn't build a parking garage at the HTC bldg. in Palm Bay when they built the bldg. so we have to walk so far from the lot to the bldg in extreme weather, heavy downpours and wind gusts. There is no shade to park under and there are never enough parking spots! It is difficult finding parking if you arrive after 8am and if you leave during the day when you return; good luck finding a parking spot. Benefits are way too high, if the company would pay more towards the benefits we would not be charged so much. Salary is lower than the competition. Bonuses would be preferred over stock options. They give you stock you have to wait years for it to vest and when it does it's less than $200. If you don't have a college degree, don't plan on growing in the company. Some of the bldgs. we work in are in very bad condition. They need to invest the money into remodeling them completely (replacing dirty, stinky carpet, painting walls, updating technology, landscaping, etc)

Pros

Flexible time off, Employees,Nothing Else

Cons

Poor- Benifits, they will say that they are meeting the industry standard and they are clearly not. Have ben stripped away from employees for the last 7 years. They are getting less and less every year. While your out off pocket cost sky rocket. Pay Raises- Do not even keep up with the new cost of benifits and every year your employyees have been falling further behind. Promotions- All promotions have been stopped for the last year. SOme people have been in the que for promotion for over 3 years. Budgets- Managment cannot even get budgets straight for the divsion. Managment- Talks out both sides of there mouth. The are dishonet when working with employees and never give a straight answer to anything. Retention- People are leaving the company as fast as they can. Why due to poor growth, benifits and below market pay. HR will counter by saying the are aligned with the industry standard. Talent- Anybody that is left is being overworked do to loss of very talented people. Managment does not want to address this problem do to the fact it might effect theeir bonuses. L3Harris is lost do to out dated thinking and outdated systems. The whole structure needs an overhaul starting with managment inside the company.
