Pros

Provides some valuable services to the homeless.

Cons

This is a very poorly run organization. They do some good work, but a better run organization could do a much better job providing services for the homeless. It's unfortunate they receive such a large share of resources available for assisting the homeless. Sub-Par staff, unprofessional work ethic, grossly untalented and incompetent leadership. Discriminatory hiring practices. Almost entire leadership staff are women. Beth Lazar's leadership of the IT function is an incomprehensible disaster. Confidential data is not secured or properly protected. No industry standards in IT are observed.

Pros

This job is all about the work you put into it! If you're a hard worker and go getter you'll do just fine. If you're in it because you truly care for the community then you'll always go home feeling GREAT. Some days get tough but that's something bound to happen at every job.

Cons

Long hours!! It can get overwhelming but make sure to practice your self care routine.
