Stable job if you can put up with management

Pros

The company is stable and profitable and has been for over 40 years. Co-workers are hardworking and congenial. Most departments are flexible with time-off requests.

Cons

Management has a know-it-all mentality. They will tell you to do things their way. Any suggestions for improvement are "stupid". There is no colaboration. Management is disorganized. Very little sense of direction. Office space is run-down. Walls are dirty ( although carpets are well taken care of). Very little opportunity for growth. Promotions are rare. Most high-level positions are brought in from outside the company.
