Pros

We have had some awesome bosses come threw our location. Our past general manager and ops manager made sure you were able to learn about the future of LKQ. Danny Cambell, Derek Green and Kevin Daniel were amazing!! They were always will to teach anything if you were willing to learn!

Cons

We changed regions and now have a male chauvinistic boss. We understand that we changed but the boss now hate gays and women. He thinks that we are not in the Business that a women should be in.He also gets pissed that the past bosses taught me 98% of everything I needed to know to run a location by myself. The last thing I have to learn is budget.

Pros

Actually unable to fabricate any. LKQ and Keystone 2 different cultures and wow poorly managed

Cons

Very poorly managed and anyone not deemed a chosen ONE is purely out of luck. Very small incestious click is a very good description of upper management. Staff not given tools to succeed and customers concerns never appreciated.

Pros

Lots of downtime to take care of personal items; department doesn't get to work until 10:30 every day so the morning you have free to do whatever you want

Cons

Upper management has no project management skills. Nothing is ever taught or explained, e-mails with questions are left unanswered for over 6 months, and upper management reviews everything at the last minute which creates bottlenecks and fire drills at the end of projects. If anything ever goes wrong, it is an exercise of "how can we show the blame was on somebody else" rather than "how do we fix the problem and accomplish our goal." Lots of peaks and valleys at the job, you will either work 20 hours or 90 hours, never in between. Communication is the poorest I've ever seen. One member of the management team gossiped about employees when the employees could hear every word, a completely unprofessional act. When the situation was brought up to the department leader, nothing was said or done other than "they were probably having a bad day." As a company, LKQ has many departments that are run much more smoothly than the tax department. Also, the compensation and benefits offered by LKQ are substandard for the industry.
