A Great Company But...

Pros

Great company, great people, friendly, lots of activities, gives generously to the community. The senior management team is outstanding. It's hard to find negatives.

Cons

Unfortunately, the business unit I worked in had a manager that had personal issues that inhibited growth and created conflicts within the team. Love the company, but did not enjoy the constant tension and conflict. Most of the team in the business unit became enablers (including myself).

Pros

LONG is a company that truly works to take care of it's employees! I feel appreciated and valued, challenged, am given the opportunity to grow and learn, and if I have questions or concerns, my manager is great about listening and helping resolve those questions/concerns. The perks like the pool table, the tailgating van, regular happy hours, etc make this an even more enjoyable place to work!

Pros

Mark and Jeff (84% owners of LONG) are strong leaders who truly care about their employees. They support employee health and safety through company paid for activities and training programs. Generally, LONG is a great company to work for and most employees stay with LONG because they know they are valued. I have thoroughly enjoyed working for LONG and intend to retire from LONG.

Cons

The only real Con I can see is the growing pains that we feel as we expand into more states. This is a reality for all companies who transition from a small company to a medium sized company. $120 million and growing.
