      It is fine if you want a place as an independent with comparable compensation with other independents.

      Compliance is awful. I have been an advisor for 19 yrs, I have never received even one complaint. My production is in the 600K level, My business is almost exclusively wrap accts where i charge a max 1 percent per yr. Compliance badgers you over picayune stuff . They nickle and dime you on fees. You need a forensic accountant to analyze your production payout sheets. I have an MBA from a top 20 B- School and abhor having to deal with it. I feel like i was not being compensated for all of my wrap fees.

      decent place, nice people, good location in la jolla doesn't hurt at all. not very difitcult to find yourself in management

      Cons

      clicky, the people who have worked there for over 10 years tend to form a click with each other and alienate the new ones
