Pros

decent insurance, tuition reimbursement, stocks, cross training chances.

Cons

no growth potential, unless you move from assistant to MLT. pay very low. you are expected to work extra hours every day if other areas have work to do, even if your area is done. mandatory holiday work at least once a year, and mandatory work 6 days a week at least once a month. no work life balance, little flexibility with schedule, and rapid, repetitive, constant working all day, for very little pay, 14$ an hour. even if you have more education and experience than required for job, you will not be paid more. and pay is only decent if you work night shift. this company has machines doing most of the work, and lab assistant does things like put labels on tubes. little exposure to actual microbiology tests, unless there is time for cross training you. lab assistant job is for high school students going to college to become an mlt. mlt's have decent pay, but still very low.

Pros

They were ok with us getting there earlier or later than schedule time. Overtime was descent. PLB was 2.7 hours per week. The company was military friendly and accommodated my military schedule.

Cons

Some employees were rude and nasty, especially the ones who were with the company for a long time. The rumors were that the manager didn't like to promote from within so I left because I didn't want to be in a low position for a long time. The pay was very low.

Pros

- The offices and labs are state of the art - Some colleages were supportive - Agri Campus is very nice place to work - Lots of training opportunities.

Cons

- You are left to figure everything out by yourself and management are constantly in back to back meetings - Harrogate Covance dictate everything over conference calls - HR will issue you security passes and tell you everything is fine without actually checking if you you have cleared the background check (carried out by 3rd party company) - Employment was terminated after 6 weeks. I was accused of lying on my application by the head of operations and HR in Harrogate (whom I'd never met). - They call security when they fire you and escort you out like a criminal - If you have a negative opinion regarding any aspect of the company you will be under suspicion. Certain colleages will report your personal opinions to management. - You will be referred to as an 'asset' with no regard for you being a human being. - Very low team morale
