Pros

Compressed work week, 3 days on 4 days off then 4 days on 3 days off (swaps every other week.) OT is built into the pay in Oregon. State law says anything over 10 hrs a day is considered OT. So you get 2 hrs of it each shift.

Cons

12 hour shifts. They are so long! You do get breaks, but expect to be worn out by the end of the week. Your job is not secure. As a contractor, you are the first to go when layoffs occur. We recently went through a wave of them and 80% of the contractors were let go. The company treats their full time employees a lot better than contractors. Pay is not equal from person to person. I have been there nearly a year now and people who started 4 months ago earn more than I do. I asked about this and they said they would look into it. Then the layoffs happened and now I am not getting a pay increase. The company culture is a joke. As mentioned before, contractors aren't treated well. Part of this is that they are left out of many of the company activities. They are treated as though they don't work there at all sometimes. Also, as a woman, I feel very unseen. There are not a lot of women in this company. There is not really a reason for it either. It's not that the demands are more physically imposing or anything. I would guess the company is close to 85% men.

Pros

The company has had a good run in the past 10-12 years, the stocks have kept many at the company. Pay is good.

Cons

So focused on making the quarter that the company is not focused on long. Slower and less innovative than Applied. Weak top management.

Pros

Nice schedule, good area, and everything mentioned below aside, the job itself can be really fun. At least the assembly portion, test is pretty standard.

Cons

In a building where all techs do the same work (unless you're a temp and cannot legally do test) there is still a pretty big pay discrepancy. Supervisors are lazy and all they do is walk around, go smoke outside, make themselves look busy, but are very hard to get ahold of. They play favorites and ignore your contributions (not only will they be ignored, but forgot getting credit for anything because leads and contractors will pass off your ideas as their own) if you do not meet that "bro" criteria. They also make it very easy for serial harassers to feel safe at work. No one deserves to feel preyed upon in their place of employment, but if you're after that then this is the place for you. Face to face passdowns definitely need a lot of work.
