Great students but poor direction

Pros

Interacting with the students and being able to assist them in their day to day struggles.

Cons

Poor leadership. Lack of communication. Enabled teachers (had several who would park in Handicap parking even though they were not handicap, get a ticket, cry about it to the higher powers, and get it dropped). Diversity pushed at cost of the majority getting overlooked. Politically left leaning and pushed on students. Nepotism. Qualified people overlooked. Refuse to hire from within. To sum it up - and I could go on for a while here - there is a saying, "Attitude reflects leadership" and so many attitudes at Landmark suck. Do not work for Campus Safety unless you want to work in a police environment with leadership that have actually said, "Don't question it, just do it".

Administration

Pros

Great Benefits. A lot of nice people work there. Lots of time off and benefit perks like retirement, computer and personal loan programs. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

No room for growth. Students are difficult. Pay range is low for the average employee. "Too many chief's and not enough Indians". Over all low moral.

Pros

Great colleagues, quasi-decent work-life balance but supervisor is inconsistent about applying it

Cons

Fairly large salary discrepancy among advisors - recent hires without a master's degree and no experience are making 10-15% more than others. President is unhinged and jokes about the college's tuition paying for another one of his sports cars and his almost $500k salary. Most of the admins are pulling in 200k+ salaries and bonuses while others are left paycheck to paycheck. Benefits and insurance are extremely expensive when compared to neighboring employers.
