Pros
- hands-off from senior management. when you are making your numbers, goals, etc. you will rarely hear from senior management. - for east coast professionals, a strong educational development program there seems to be a lot of work available (especially for east coast employees) - better than my last employer.
Cons
- relentless focus on profits. proposals must become jobs within thirty days; the process for time spent on non-billable tasks is a hassle. all non-bill labor codes are scrutinized. - difficult to move upward. like most environmental companies, upper management is set. when upper managers do leave, work and management responsibilities are handed down to staff level, however, promotions will not be following increased responsibility. instead as a lower level member you are held responsible for both project management duties and your own billable goals. - extremely high expectations. dysfunctional management. internal competition. difficult to achieve project goals in an efficient manner.
