Questionable tactics and ethics. Always a sale so the customers are trained to wait out for the next big sale.

Better work life balance! we should not have to work every weekend! I was told when I was hired that I would have to work ONE weekend day every week, but if we needed to request off a weekend day for some reason, then we could do so, and my schedule never reflected that. Multiple nurses also noticed that when we did get our requested day off, the next few weeks after would be horrible. Almost like we were being punished for getting that requested day off? I was scheduled multiple Saturdays AND sundays, so the schedule alone was enough to make me and many other nurses quit. Secondly the training. It is not thorough at all, and one day is not enough, especially for neuromods/filler training. We need to truly understand anatomy and anatomical differences between patients, in addition to potential complications, and that is not something that is retained and truly understood in one day. Now that I have had the opportunity to shadow/work with providers directly through Allergan and at a medical surgical facility, it is truly night and day to how thorough the training is when it is done somewhere professional. And thanks to that training, I NOW, feel like a safe and competent nurse who could handle pretty much any aesthetic medicine situation/treatment/consultation, etc. Lastly, the sales aspect at this company is too much. I can’t even tell you the amount of times that patients would complain to me and other nurses stating that they continuously felt pressured to purchase things that they either did not need or things that they were just starting to think about doing. Patients feel that pressure, they know it’s not authentic, and that is not how you retain clients. These are just the top 3 issues at LaserAway but theres many more! Anyways, good luck !
