Demanding but Rewarding

Pros

If you are good at sales this position pays a ton. There seems to be an endless supply of women who want to fork over money for beauty treaments. There is also a lot of autonomy and nobody micromanaging you. The store that I managed really became my store and I got to know all of the clients. I developed a steady base of return clients who would come in whenever re ran a special.

Cons

You need to be on your game at all times. They make the atmosphere pretty competitve on purpose and they are always hiring and training new people. As long as you hit your numbers it really isnt an issue but if you have two slow months back to back expect to feel some pressure. Just make sure you reach out to corporate for help whenever things get slow.

Pros

The pay is great. My cowokers are awesome and it’s the beauty industry. I have worked in real estate my whole life and hated it. Its great to have clients come in that know my name and give me money lol. If you are looking to get into this industry I'd recommend LaserAway because a lot of other places can be shady or dont have great technology, They also seem to put a lot of money into advertising so there is a steady source of leads coming in.

Cons

The schedule can be crazy at times and sometimes waiting patients can be irratating and have to be handled like children. Some clients are animals and can really make your life difficult. After a while you learn how to handle them and if worst comes to worst you can refund them and cut them off. I wish LaserAway would change their refund policy actually and NOT refund once a package is bought.

Pros

MUCH better than working in ER. I was in the ER for 6 years and saw everything. I was starting to get depressed with the atmosphere and the hours. Its so nice to deal with happy and healthy people. The hours are good and scheduling is flexible if I want time off.

Cons

I worry about losing some of my clinical expertise because I am doing the same aesthetic treatments on a daily basis. I paid all that money and went through all of the schooling and then completely changed directions.
