Pros

- A good amount of responsibility and ability to drive projects without being micromanaged - Growing company - Opportunities to move within the company and work on what you want - Fully remote - Unlimited PTO is really flexible as long as you handle your workload

Cons

- Things can change very quickly & communication is poor - team leaders were either fired or quit without any notice or explanation, reorgs happen regularly, a large portion of the hardware engineering team was laid off suddenly based on what project you were working on (not performance) - Leadership will force you to work on a new urgent task regularly and without notice for no good reason - Deadlines are unrealistic - Company is very reactionary - Pay is not all that competitive and raises are subpar - Tendency to overwork some people and under utilize others - Leadership does not listen to individual contributors

Pros

- Pretty chill work environment and culture - Friendly people

Cons

- Terrible stock performance - Lackluster compensation and low raises even for high performers - HR won't respond to email or slack - CEO and CTO are both very inexperienced and it shows.

Pros

Good benefits and pay. Flexible schedule. Work from home full time for now. Many great people on various teams who are super friendly. Product is interesting enough. Concerted company effort to increase size and product offering through engineering, business relationships, cash, etc.

Cons

Bit of burnout culture. This may be partly due to WFH and working with Asia. Though there is some room for growth, there is not much technical stuff to learn individually. Small size means less opportunity to learn process and how to be a good engineer as a young engineer. Difficult to transition roles within the company due to small size and the need for resources in unpopular roles. Most managers are… flawed… though some more than others. Upper management is mainly full of themselves and visibly suck up to the CEO. CEO seems all right.
