Pros

Health & Dental Benefits, Eye Benefits, Minimal education stipend, Work from home, half day Friday 1x month

Cons

Poor leadership up and down the org. Lazy culture - no accountability, follow through, responsiveness from colleagues. Poor collaboration across teams. No 401 k match. Reduced education and work from home stipend. Overly woke culture. No bonuses. No promotions. No regular raises and/or no raises at all. Ridiculous "plan on a page" busy work to document goals that people do not execute upon. Poor communication across the board.

Pros

Great product and true product market fit in the Enterprise. There are some good people there.

Cons

Where to start. For one, the culture is the worst. You would think leadership are mature adults who know how to be professional, and do things the correct way. For example, three months into my stint, I was told not to outbound even though the inbound lead volume was low. Additionally, leads are supposedly round robined but there is no visibility into that process - there is some evidence that some folks pick and choose who gets leads and the criteria is obscure. Again no transparency. You're coached into doing ad moral sales motions like lying just to get an upgrade.

Very sad to see such a great company implode.

Pros

Great product and still some great people there.

Cons

I worked for the revenue org at LaunchDarkly. This company has a great product that many software engineers rely on. As an employee, the company was very unique and stood out in many ways. One thing that set it apart from every other company I worked for WAS the culture and how they really stood behind the "Work is not life" mantra. People cared for one another and the workplace environment was unmatched in that regard. Pay was below average for that space but it was a fair trade off to have a great work - life balance and great benefits. As the company grew and the economy worsened, changes started to happen there and not for the better. LaunchDarkly has handled tough times and economic downturns in the past with grace and always put its employees first. Then along came a new a new senior leadership in finance and sales (SVP and C-Level). With that came the demise of the one of kind culture that LaunchDarkly once had. Very sad to see that happen. The sales team was/is treated unfairly and some of the new rules that were put into place by this new leadership team are punitive at best. There are more opportunities to lose money than to make money in certain cases. Sales reps pay directly for any loss of business out of their commissions. No matter how old the account is or who sold it. Some great people left (no surprise there) and then came the layoffs. I am sure more great folks are on the way out as well. While I still think that LaunchDarkly is a great product, I am not sure it can recover its once great culture. If it can, it will not be under the current leadership regime.
