      Hours may extend beyond normal work day. One may be encouraged either directly/indirectly to perform further work (if possible) at home.

      Pros

      The Lab is a great place to be working towards your PhD. The facilities are of course top notch, and people are excited to contribute to Science, which make this a great place to make your teeth in Science.

      Cons

      While fairly protected at my level, I can tell politics do play a role at the Lab. Also, it is sometimes difficult to assess self performance as indicators are not available for student positions.

      Pros

      Always can find right person who can help you out of the problem, share the thoughts and get some idea from others. A lot of ways to get what you want fast.

      Cons

      Cafeteria won't open during the dinner time and weekend, making a real problem for the food when the experiments go late.
