Pros

@encinitas Made some friends, decent discounts, large natural living section, nice brand name options to choose from I'm typing this because it asked for more pros in this section.. there are none

Cons

@encintas Management is really bad, pay is less than desirable, management displays favoritism, department lacks hours to properly staff, unrealistic expectations for some departments who are understaffed, Little to no communication amongst management and employees, some equipment for departments are obviously picked out by people who have never worked in that environment before(laughable)

Pros

Ability to discreetly eat free food. Camaraderie with on-the-floor coworkers. 20% staff discount brings the prices of store goods to nearly reasonable levels.

Cons

Far too many haughty bosses and managers while on-the-floor workforce is always understaffed. High turnover, pay below a living wage for most workers, undemocratic corporate decision making structure, little-to-no direct communication or positive feedback between store management and on-the-floor workers.

Pros

Great culture, fun working environment, ability to learn valuable skill sets from colleagues you will need down the road. Benefits, 401K, dress code.

Cons

Company now seeking outside sources for upper level positions that were once "possibly there" for the hard working leaders that made them successful in the first place. Even if you are great enough, it looks as if you will not be a part of the future. Willing to allow the best walk away. New leaders are out of touch and do not take the cultivation of existing employees as a serious means for for future successes. Pay scale. You will learn valuable skills, but sadly, not be able to utilize them for the current concept, you will need to take them elsewhere. Company expects great returns with little to no education provided of how to achieve them other than being gifted the knowledge through another employee. New "leaders" are trying to rid the Lazy Acres concept of the Bristol Farms employees that were hand picked to build the brand. The new "leaders" are driving a separation between the Bristol brass and the Lazy Acres, this not only happening at store level but killing culture at Bristol Farms headquarters as well.
