It all depends on who you work for...

Pros

It all depends on who you work for... in my department management did a good job of creating a positive work environment, balancing priorities and helping you feel like you wanted to come to work (versus had to).

Cons

It all depends on who you work for... my department/management was the best. But no matter how good our management was sometimes problems and issues in other, less healthy departments affected our work environment. All too often a screw-up on some else's part DID constitute an emergency on our part.
