So, after the abysmal treatment of school employees during the pandemic and parting ways from a LCG Montessori Unlimited program based on their desperation to hire warm bodies to be in classrooms over actual trained Montessori teachers, I was invited by a true Montessorian to rejoin at another MU school after pandemic frenzy had subsided. Against my better judgement, I decided to come back.
What is wrong with you, LCG? You disgust me. You consistently put money ahead of the children and your teachers. No one wants to stay employed with you. Unlike any other ACTUAL SCHOOL I've worked for, people would just abandon their jobs here and walk off on their breaks, never to return. That is something people do in the retail industry, not in education! You'll put whatever pressure you can on your teachers for your "brand", but do things like take away building-wide third party janitorial services, because "oh the teachers and staff can just do that." Never mind that you won't compensate anyone for increased responsibilities, and berate school directors if the closing staff is there even a minute too late actually fulfilling their responsibility to clean classrooms thoroughly instead of rushing to avoid being yelled at for clocking out too late. You want to call your MU schools Montessori programs? Well, then quit your false advertising, and actually hire only Montessori teachers for the lead guide positions. Don't make your school directors shove inexperienced assistant teachers who know nothing about Montessori into the classroom as lead teachers just because you can't find certified Montessori teachers who want to work for your programs. Maybe there are real reasons people don't want to work for you - like staining the Montessori name with this absolute BS. Who wants to work for a "school" that views them only by their employee number and offers disgustingly offensive compensation, even for the industry? Have some respect for your teachers while you sit in your cushy chairs in Novi, MI, eating snacks and answering the phone. I wonder why people don't want to stay ... could it possibly be that bonuses are unheard of, everything is viewed as a "company property secret" (unheard of for true EDUCATION entities), and raises are mere cents to the dollar?
I have half a mind to continue anonymously reporting both MU schools in my area for licensing violations (because there are many, constantly, and daily) until these programs are shut down.
SHAME ON YOU.
Based on all the responses here from the company, there will be a canned response to my review ... "it's upsetting to hear this .... please call our 800 number!" Corporate preschools and childcares need to DIE.
