Short Fridays, plenty of time off, generous PTO. Current president is effective.

Cons

Toxic environment. Rampant nepotism and favoritism. Overt and covert racism, and discrimination. Lack of boundaries. Unqualified middle leadership with little to no management skills. HR is unapproachable and futile.

Great benefits. Good people to work around. Overall a good place to work.

Cons

Very admin heavy. Absent leadership. Everyone except the people who should be making decisions are the ones making the decisions. Not a lot of work-life balance for the higher-ups. If they need something they will not hesitate to call even if it can wait.

Unsafe environment. Micromanagement. Strongly discouraged to take sick time. Mismanagement of funds. President rules by fiat. Board of Regents unreachable despite being elected officials. 75% of the people I know are actively looking for new jobs.
