Pros

The hourly pay for my position is pretty good, and commission (when attainable) is awesome. They have great benefits, especially the healthcare options. The training is very extensive (about 3 mos) so I felt prepared when I started on the phones. This is a great place to get started in sales if you don't have previous experience. Really easy for someone with retail/food service to move into and make A LOT more than you did in the service industry. There is a huge push for diversity and acceptance as well. My leadership are all POC and I have the opportunity to connect and advocate for members of the LGBTQ+ community. I definitely feel supported in that sense.

Cons

I have had a really difficult time moving out of my entry level role, even though I have a lot of management experience already. I'm starting to feel extremely burnt out talking to customers constantly and don't have the support I need to move up. A lot of my collages have left or are looking for new work because the company has changed a lot this year. They implemented a required script that made it much harder for me to make my sales goals, and on top of that they continue to increase the threshold we must reach to get a commission check. Without commission being attainable, I know I can find a job making more than what I make hourly so I'm looking for something new. If I saw more opportunity for growth I would stick it out, but I've been waiting a year already and haven't had any help. I think the remote structure they've started makes it hard for people like me to stand out and reach our potentials. And lastly, the scheduling feels unfair a lot of the time. Schedules are assigned based on sales, so if you get a tough schedule you won't make as much and it sort of creates a cycle where you're stuck with something that's hard to manage. I've worked 12pm-9pm for most of this year.
