Pros

Very capable colleagues, easy to build a network, benefits are great especially if you have a large family. HR-friendly policies while you are billable. It was also very impressive that the CEO took the time, at orientation on day one, to speak with all the new hires, in person. He does this for as many orientations as he is able to. The stock price has risen a lot recently too.

Cons

When your program assignment ends you get a layoff notice a number of weeks before the role ends (which can be as little as two weeks depending on length of service) then go on unpaid leave for a month. This isn't necessarily a reason to avoid working here, just a warning not to stop your job search when you join Leidos, which also means keeping yourself up to date with the internal opportunities.

Pros

Only great for career starters. Grab the knowledge of the financial/accounting realm. Flexibility.

Cons

With many competitions amongst the industry, pay is far below what other competitors are willing to pay for your talents. That being said, this is a reason why there is a high turn over to Raytheon.

Pros

For the most part, you'll work with smart, passionate people at Leidos. The projects are interesting, challenging, and diverse. There's general trust in the employees to balance work/life (depending on the manager). There are global opportunities to work on cutting edge technologies and solutions.

Cons

Like any large corporation, it all depends on where you work, who you're teamed with, and who your customer is, so it's hard to give generally applicable feedback, but one area is communication. There's a lack of meaningful communication from all levels of management. Both new and long-term employees have ridden many waves of change over the past several months and years. This leads to change fatigue which is only alleviated by clear communication on why the changes are occurring and what the future plan is for both the overall company and the individual employee. When employees are uneasy, and many opportunities can be found outside of Leidos, the company should adjust its approach in order to retain great talent.
