Great Company, Poor Work-Life Balance

Pros

Solid pay. Absolutely fantastic benefits package (medical, vision, dental, 401k, vesting, vacation time). Wonderful co-workers!

Cons

The support department appears to be one that suffers a bit more than the other departments. Lunches are half the length (30 minutes compared to the 60 minutes every other department gets), and the support ticket quotas are a moving goal post. Things appeared to be getting better when I left, but I remember at least one interaction where a co-worker (who was staying on long after it was time to get off) was crying at their desk, due to the demands of the position

Pros

Great benefits, incredible health/dental. Great PTO. Incredible food benefits

Cons

You will be lied to on day 1 and it will not stop until you get so fed up you will leave. Drink the kool-aid when you start and you will have a great time. Refrain from drinking the CEO's kool-aid and you will have a terrible experience.

Pros

Was once a darling of the media, so relatively high profile. They provide lots of free food and drinks (engineers got free lunches every day). Paid healthcare and dental.

Cons

The cult of personality around the CEO is incredibly stifling. Employee input is never sought, and is rarely even tolerated. The expectation is that you will work long days without question or hesitation (12+ hours for 7 days a week for one sustained period for Engineers during a 2 month product build). Work/life balance was nonexistent. While I was there, the CEO actively and overtly initiated a campaign to pit engineering staff and the head of engineering against each other. He treats employees as pawns in an egotistical machiavellian game. Just plain awful.
