Pros

People there are very chill and are willing to give you the time of day even as an intern. People work hard but work/life balance seemed to be pretty good.

Cons

The IT and technology tends to fall behind, but that is to be expected in a retail/fashion company.

Pros

Good place to gain work experience Co-workers are friendly Store manager is kind and personable and easy to talk to

Cons

Hired too many people for the season and cut everyone's hours; only worked two hours one week instead of eight, while when i started I worked 12 hours a week. The person who hired me didn't exactly train me, just kind of threw me out there, which wasn't completely terrible but it would've been better had I had some sort of formal training besides movies.

Pros

Casual and fun atmosphere! The dress code rocks and they give you free jeans (2 pairs your first yr. then one pair every anniv. year). No high pressure selling required; you get to actually enjoy your customers and make great connections. Communication from upper mgt./Corporate is consistent, however their communication style is a little condescending. Levi's is a global brand so you feel proud representing the company.

Cons

Too many checklists: the Opening/Closing checklist contains alot of minutae, and they need to change the name of this checklist - "Rituals" is a word with negative connotations. The hours required to get your job done can be very long and tiring (10-12 hrs./day). The POS register system is archaic and they are still using paper gift certificates. No respect for mgrs. work/life balance. They want you to be married to the job.
