Pros

This is a company where the core values are wonderful, but the ownership and execution of those values frequently falls short. The history and community involvement of this company are what sets it apart from it's peers. Levi's has terrific product and enormous brand value.

Cons

Some North American and Dockers managers and leaders do not engage with consumers and customers. Failure to hold managers accountable for listening to peers and making decisions that are informed and executable. Very political, and slow to react to market trends and efficiencies. Leadership is very fond of catch-phrases.

Pros

Nice place for work/life balance. Corporate has the right intentions in terms of trying to promote a healthy and inspired work environment. Well respected company that opens doors once on your resume. Employees are dedicated and hard-working.

Cons

Senior Management is completely unaware (or just disinterested) of how disfunctional and unhappy most employees are in the day to day. Very little chance for development and career coaching. If you like playing the corporate politics game, you may do well here. If you're more interested in doing really good work and trying to learn and continue development, you'll stay in the same position for, well, forever. Most people have been in their positions for way, way to long.

Pros

The benefits are great and the salary is higher than average. LS&CO has some well known brands that are respected internationally.

Cons

There is limited training on topics to help people do their job better. Specifically in Finance, management developed a training program, but it is of little use. Career development or advancement is limited. The trend is to hire outside the company. Ironically, many of the "managers" hired outside of LS&CO lack basic management skills.
