PTO starts at 18 and jumps to 23 after 2 years, keeps going up with loyalty Paid Volunteer time Modern Family leave (up to 14 weeks paid) Great project/product managers who really care about individual contributors Fair Pay
Cons
Depending on division, there are some not so great managers and less opportunity for promotion. I worked for 3.5 years and put in tons of professional dev work to not get promoted and be lied to about opportunities that "were coming down the road". So I applied to a different division and it's night and day. There are tons of different teams and even companies to work for under the parent RELX. By switching I kept my built up PTO and vested 401k. My current division is 11/10 and I'm super happy.
1. Poor total compensation
2. Low (1%) or no pay raises, depending on year
3. No promotions
4. Managers who gaslight, guilt trip, mock and insult their subordinates regularly
5. Managers drown you in work without thinking about your family life or mental and physical health
6. Some Individual Contributors who have been there a long time will try to smear your reputation behind your back because they are afraid you will steal their job
