Pros

The company tends to hire employees within the company first. The benefits package good as well as the time off.

Cons

Your yearly performance measured by a "QA team", but they are really your peers with some having less years experience than you.

Pros

Overtime is not required; it's really frowned upon. But you won't get paid OT rate for the first 3.5 hours anyway, only your regular rate.

Cons

Lied about duties of the job, lied about promotion/advancement opportunities, poor training, managers taking credit for workers' ideas for improvement, hiring/promotion of unqualified managers, little or no pay raises only once a year, basically told to either take what crap they dish out and stay or leave

Pros

Stable organization, fairly good benefits. Pay is simply average. The 401K match is great.

Cons

The glass ceiling remains. Same "old Boston" culture hidden behind alleged compliance with equal opportunity law. Minorities spend 3-5 times longer in substandard positions than white employees, even if they have more experience and are more productive thant their white counterparts. Awards like Bravo, that are directly related to future promotions and raises, are disproportionately given to whites for doing similar jobs with similar satisfaction. An Ivy degree is more important here than real skills, even when those Ivies are clueless and have no idea what it is they are doing. Most managers are clueless, are only looking out for themselves, and in several cases, expect their employees to vegetate in the same position for years, because they went thru the same path.
