Pros

-Overall good benefits. Bonus is good only if you reach level 16 - a senior level. 401K match is not bad, $6k a year tuition reimbursement, and 10% discount with Liberty Insurance policies which still may be higher than market rates. -Their charity matching program works well and it is a big business for them. They do matching contributions 50 cents to the dollar, but they take charity deductions from your paycheck for many, many months before they disburse the money in installments to the charity organization of your choice. This helps their cash flow and also let's them make some additional interest revenue. They also use this program to bolster their corporate image. -They have good, smart people. I made some good friends.

Cons

-Performance reviews and ratings are pretty much determined by your manager. If he/she likes you, you will do well. Otherwise, forget it. He/she will make your life miserable until you move or quit.

Pros

You have the opportunity to make good money and lots of flexibility. You also do not have to pay overhead like other agents for other companies do.

Cons

Sales never stops. Constantly have to resell the company when they raise rates without sending out notification to clients why rates are going up. Won't make as much as independant agents and you do not own your book of business, so when you leave you can't take it with you and are not allowed to contact the clients for 2 years.

Executives are ruining a once great company

Pros

Base pay is ok Pension Vacation time - good amount but you are looked down on for taking it

Cons

Executive management - Across the board, this company is starved for any leadership or vision. Executives do not care about frontline employees, only padding their paychecks. New CEO is really having trouble filling the shoes of the former CEO. Commercial side of the business is a disaster and very poorly run. Job security - this place is extremely political and reorgs seem to happen every other year. Benefits - very poor, especially health care. 401k match gets cut every year while CEO spends $4.5m on his office including silk wallpaper.
