Loved working at Lids. I have a passion for hats and loved helping others find one that is right for them. All my coworkers were really nice and for the most part pulled their weight. The employee discount is a great thing for those who love hats.

Cons

The store lacked organization. At times, I felt overwhelmed when customers would flood the store and the store would be disorganized in terms of inventory. I understand the business model of having only one employee work at a time, but it would cause a lot of personal frustration and not allowing me to provide the best customer service to everyone.

Very casual atmosphere, sports central and great people work here. If you have a good boss, enjoy sports and are willing to put in the extra work, you'll be happy.

Cons

There is not always a clear career path. In many cases the employee has to be proactive in looking for opportunities for growth. Priorities and directives change quickly, employees must be able to adapt. Salaried pay is below industry standards.
