We’re genuinely thankful for your feedback. A career at Life.Church isn’t the best fit for everyone, so during the hiring process, we do everything we can to make sure we find the best fit not just for our team, but for each applicant we hire. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t get it right. We’re sorry your experience working here wasn’t what you hoped it would be. It’s our hope that everyone who works here grows stronger personally, professionally, and spiritually every day.

Pros

I loved the developmental culture. You were always given feedback to help you improve as a leader. Every Thursday we had communication practice to help develop our public speaking skills. I also loved the ability to grow with other staff members through programs such as Operational All-Staff and Family Reunion (which was a blast!).

Cons

One thing that was really weird to me was the lack of “spirituality.” We had staff meetings weekly and I only recall two meetings where we actually prayed or could bring up prayer requests. No one prayed for each other or seemed to care how everyone was doing spiritually. There was also zero follow-up to people who gave their hearts to Christ which meant there was no way to pastor those people and really help disciple them. They just raised their hand, we counted them, they walked out the door, and we would do it all again the next week.

Pros

Incredible health benefits Flexible work (depending on team) Encourages professional development Vision and culture driven

Cons

No way to move up or expand role. Will keep asking for more until you have nothing left to give. Will hyperspiritualize things and use that as ammunition. Preach grace but then show none when you are struggling. If you don't agree or don't love your job, there is no space for you here.
