Pros

- Leadership has integrity. - Great benefits for self and family. - Leadership and personal development opportunities are endless. - Annual pay for performance review opportunity.

Cons

- The pace is very fast because our mission is urgent. However, this can often push team members to work outside normal operating hours for long periods of time, creating burnout. We care about "the one", but "the one" on staff can sometimes get forgotten. - Team/policy inconsistencies. Your team norms and policies change from team to team and from leader to leader making it difficult to adjust to. - Teams are kept lean so in certain seasons, it can be very overwhelming to keep up with workload.

Pros

I've been blessed to have team members who encourage and support me but also challenge me to be better. I can truly say we are friends, not just co-workers. The benefits and pay are great, especially when you consider we're working in ministry. Within my team and area of ministry, our leadership truly cares about our feedback, thoughts and ideas, and about consistently seeking ways we can improve. Coming from a previous job working in public schools, I have never felt more loved and cared for, and I have true joy in the work I get to do, because I know I'm a part of making a difference for the Kingdom.

Cons

It's fast paced, and high feedback. If you can't handle receiving critical feedback and aren't willing to set your pride down for the sake of bringing your best and being a team player, you may not be comfortable here. This isn't really a con if you're passionate about the mission, but because we're in ministry, we also have to be mindful in how we live our lives - including how we interact with others and in public, what we post on social media, etc. so that our personal actions don't cause someone to think negatively of Life.Church or the mission we stand for.
