Pros

the atmosphere is amazing and you are working in an ever evolving company where you can be heard by the corporate office for change. Change may take a long time but everyone has the opportunity to affect what we call best practice. Each club has a very different feeling and once you have a proven record of success transfers to other locations is easy and the moving package for managers will take care of everything.

Cons

very long work hours. most of the company turn over is due to burn out. the expectations are high and average work week is 50-60 hours with low employee benefits while at work. They are working on new ways to say thank you but are only in the form of thank you cards at this point. The company will go from good to great once they decide to reinvest in their people

Pros

Excellent Gym membership. You get access to a top-notch, state of the art gym; with one of the best aquatic facilities you can find. Making friends at the TM level is easy.

Cons

Company offers insanely high pay for the work you're doing, but don't believe a word of it. As a swim instructor, you are supposed to be paid even if your client doesn't show up (to help cover your time, and gas you spent to get here); well, that never happened. In the average day, only about a 1/2 - 2/3 of the clients show up, most are families where their child has a game or activity that day. So, you miss out on a lot of the pay that you were supposed to be given. DH's take credit for your hard work, and don't give you any raises or added benefits. You can't request off for a day you have swim lessons more than once every three months, even if you find a replacement. The company is a joke, when you consider how they treat you.
