Pros

Free membershp, can be awarded stock options and bonuses based on performance.

Cons

There is quite a disconnect between corporate the clubs. There is a lot of time consuming administrative work for club managers and many nagging e-mails from higher-ups at corporate. Manager training is non-existant except for the week they send you to corporate to learn about the "secret shopper" program called NPS. As a manager you will train your staff completely by yourself - there are no manuals or processes except for general on-line tutorials about the company and safety issues. I think that some of the club General Managers and area directors are not qualified for their jobs, they only keep thier positions because they are old friends with the company founder.

Pros

Good people. Fun job at times.

Cons

Managers have no idea what they are doing. There is no structure, very difficult to make money. Trainers have to clean equipment and work long hours for no pay, 100% commission.

Pros

Free membership! They have decent benefits, the corporate staff is AMAZING! I have been out to certification twice and it was awesome. They have certified me in relationship sales and targeted selection interview processes. I have never been to a better training than with Life Time Fitness. They have changed certification now, however, and it is conducted within your home club. I truly think that is a mistake because I gained a better appreciation for Life Time Fitness when I went to the corporate office.

Cons

Club management is horrible. I have received little or no training since I went to certification at our home office. Team members are not encouraged-they are threatened with job loss and pay cuts instead of told how they can perform better. It is a cold, sad change from the "Ra ra LTF!" you are exposed to at our corporate office.
