Pros

Private practice atmosphere with operations and administrative support. Continuing Edu opportunities. Great benefits. You control your work/life balance with the ability to create your own schedule. Collaboration opportunities. No micromanaging!

Cons

Policies and procedures seem to change frequently as the company grows and expands their offerings. If you can be flexible you will be fine.

Pros

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone starting out in ABA! All the behavior therapists get treated well, and if you are struggling, you can advocate for yourself and ACTUALLY be listened to, which hasn’t happened at other companies I’ve been at. There is almost always hours available even if your client cancels. And if you want more responsibility, your supervisors will give it to you typically. I’ve been wanting more responsibility for a long time with other companies I’ve been with, and they don’t give it to me. And they have given me invalid reasons for why they won’t give it to me. Here at LifeStance, there is a supportive and nurturing community for everyone, both BTs, BCBAs, and clients. Everyone is respectful and there’s no drama or gossip. And problems, regardless of the level, are taken seriously.

Cons

The only downside I’ve noticed is that it is very difficult to fight for a raise a lot of the time. I know the clinical director will help her staff advocate for a raise, but it can take months to do unfortunately due to reasons out of her control. I have not asked for a raise currently, this is just what I have heard from other employees.

The biggest con is no paid time off/paid holidays.
