Pros

You get to see the sunrise almost every morning, you also see some beautiful areas. Most staff are fantastic this year in our territory. You make good money in the beginning of the season with all the overtime. They don't fight unemplyment.

Cons

Lifetouch offers you a raise and then hires new employees at same rate. It no longer feels like a raise more like a slap in the face. Most arrive times at school's are before 7am as we need to be set up and ready to take photos before school starts so if your school destination is 3 hours away you need to leave your house by 4am. Allot of people quit because of this. Towards the end of a season your paycheck is under half of what it was in the beginning of the season and then your layed off.

Pros

Good coworkers (for the most part), able to work independently at times, good for learning the basics of how to pose and work with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Cons

Holidays are rediculosuly stressful; they cram people in like cattle for sessions and have unrealistically high sales expectations. They push you to sell but there are little to no incentives for doing well, while at the same time constantly offering public "offers" and deals that make it even harder to push people to spend more. The few corporate people I met were very rude and condescending, and only interested in you for what your numbers look like. The studio I am at is short-staffed and management is unorganized. Little room for creativity. VERY little room for moving up in the company.

Pros

Being behind a camera everyday, work with kids, vacation time.

Cons

Long and early hours, low wage, poor management in the territory I worked for, wear and tear on vehicle.
