The company clearly defines photo composition requirements, which makes it perfect for novice photographers to learn. Flexible hours at store locations provide an alternative source of income. Attracts "Blue/Feeler" personality types, so most employees are incredibly friendly.

Cons

The company clearly defines photo composition requirements, which makes it awful for advanced photographers trying to develop artistically. The company refuses to invest in local printers for same-day/week service or lower digital photo prices, killing sales. Photographers only get 5-10 minutes to shoot, making it difficult to master techniques.

Pros

During my time with Lifetouch I met some wonderful people, & learned so much about leadership. The ESOP program is fantastic, & the job is a blast if you love people & have a passion for working in the education sector. You MUST be a good problem solver & be okay with taking the blame for everyone's mistakes. You'll need a thick skin for this position, but overall it's a really fun job. The quality of leadership varies from one territory to the next.

Cons

Compensation is not always aligned with the stress & time required for this position. Goals set by management are overly ambitious, & labs are not always dependable.
