Business Outlook
Pros
Good pay and benefits; huge IP portfolio inherited from Bell Labs/Western Electric/AT&T past; for the most part, and my colleagues are great people to work with.
Cons
Too many of the Project Managers can't tell the difference between serious customers and "tire-kickers." As a consequence, too much work is loaded onto the plates of our limited R&D and production staff, and key customers actually willing to spend big $$$ aren't given the proper attention they deserve. In the end, the potential $$$ ends up going elsewhere.
