Pros

Everyone without exception is welcome and valued at Lighthouse eDiscovery. Constant innovation is the base of Lighthouse's philosophy. Great benefits and commute flexibility.

Cons

At times the intense activity and urgency of projects could slow down one's career advancement if one is not careful.

Pros

I like that the leadership team really anchors to the analogy “get the right people on the bus, in the right seats.” I’ve benefited from their commitment and flexibility in finding a role where I can perform best. It’s rare to find an organization that is as open to input and feedback as Lighthouse. I feel they/we are doing nearly all we can to keep everyone pulling in the same direction. The really low reviews I’ve seen don’t match my experience here over the last couple of years. I’ve seen (and felt) instances where people ended up in a role that didn’t work well but as a business that seems occasionally inevitable. Because most everyone at Lighthouse is intelligent and genuine, I think if you like it here you can work with your managers to find a place to really grow and be valued. Other pros are all of our big news lately – we opened a UK and NY location, we now finally have a 401k match, and we’re making a bigger and bigger name for ourselves.

Cons

Some jobs, especially the project managers, have to work a ton of hours. Pay for the job titles seems low but I’ve heard it’s comparable to the industry. I could give 5 stars if we paid above market like some other very well-known tech companies in the area.

One of better ediscovery employers

Pros

Excellent job of providing internal paths for career development as evidenced by the numerous lateral and diagonal transfers across departments. "Attributes" list--Lighthouse follows through in virtually every phase (interview, evaluations, development and performance) to emphasize the attributes. Culture--Lighthouse has created a fairly ideal mix of innovation, change and collaboration in the environment so that each department and most employees feel empowered to drive meaningful change in the company. Opportunities--company success is generating significant vertical and horizontal growth opportunities for existing employees and our clients seem to really value us which may be the single most unique thing about our company. People--most are willing to help each other, regardless of position or seniority. Office politics have been non-existent. Overall--Lighthouse is one of the best ediscovery companies to work for and is far better than the other ediscovery service providers I have worked for.

Cons

Work/life balance--a challenge, but that seems to be the story across the U.S. and regardless of industry. The people in charge (execs and directors in our company) fail to recognize that the expectations they are setting too often require more than a proper work week (45-50 hours should be sufficient). Utilization requirements--forces salary teams to work way beyond acceptable hours if they are going to contribute to innovation, change or other non-billable activities. Benefits--on par, at best, with smaller ediscovery companies and seem a bit out of alignment with the internal stated desire to be the "best" in everything else.
