Pros

When I was there I would say the people were the reason to work there . I was leveled up in several ways having access to some of the best and brightest out there in industry. They pay extremely well. Golden handcuffs are going to hurt those who were recently let go because getting a competitive salary is going to be tough.

Cons

What they sell is vaporware. Pure and simple. I was on the bench for months, tossed on an account to 'coach,' but when I asked for details on the materials they simply didn't exist. No plan, no workshops, no decks...none of it. Beyond their basic agile transformation materials - of which nothing is particularly outstanding or different than what you see from other companies - the rest is made up as they go along based on what the leaders can sell or hand-wave into getting an anxious exec to believe. The account I eventually worked on did not have a plan for months - MONTHS! - and they were charging this client tens of thousands of dollars a month to maybe attend 3-5 meetings a week. I felt horribly guilty for charging someone for so little and had to leave. Judging by their current cluster going on it is clear that I made the right decision. A self-absorbed CEO who makes everything about him; ignores complaints and issues brought up as 'well it's just a hard thing'; talks *incessantly* about how awesome he is...it's just exhausting and the biggest signal as to why this company is failing. A failing company spent tens of thousands of dollars on an event to hold a concert to satisfy the CEO's insatiable ego. They missed the boat on evolving. No one wants agile transformations anymore; they want to change the way they're spending money and to get more for less. Adding consultants at $50k per month EACH is not a way to do that, especially when there is little demonstrable value being delivered. Boys club. Plain and simple. If you are not a straight, white, cis-het male you are not in the right company. Full stop. Their D&I efforts are abysmal and the microaggressions experienced on a daily basis are nauseating.

Pros

- You'll see brilliant role models in action. I saw many strong examples of leadership, transparency, fairness, profound insight, and clairvoyance. - You learn to see the world from the perspective of a business owner, an engineer, an architect. An opportunity to create a canvas in your head and paint how the world should work. - Extremely passionate executives. Fiercely loyal to their values. You really feel a sense of working for the greater good in a profound way.

Cons

- There's a cargo cult culture around emotional intelligence that shuns real emotional vulnerability. - There is a very narrow profile of skills that are valued. If you don't have them, you're not respected. Not only that, but you can’t be related to and you’ll miss out on many of the pros I described - Lot of masculine energy, very head-y. I wish more women and POC worked here, It would help challenge this dynamic I think.
