The tenure of the Admissions team lead to a culture of antiquated ways of recruiting new students. Processes, recruitment activity, inquiry management, student engagement, marketing and student databases all need to be updated. Lack of enrollment and new students is partially due to tenured team unwilling to accept or try new approaches and resistant to change. We are dealing with a new generation of students and a modern approach including social media, events, etc are needed. Inquiry management was neglected often causing conflict among the team. No team work. If you weren't there to help your student don't plan on relying on a team member. Most part very ethical recruiting with the exception of one or two people but I believe that was due to lack of training. New management in this realm is needed one who won't shy away from senior recruiters or allow the senior recruiters to control how the dept should be run.
Communication and professionalism from cooperating departments at time could be frustrating. It was a causal environment good at times but in some events the lack of professionalism was inappropriate.
***Benefit costs are outrageous!! More than average prices compared to other companies and still only 80/20 plan with high annual deductibles and monthly pay deductions . Be sure to account for the cost of benefits in your overall salary negotiations!!!!!
*** not financially healthy organization and has had several layoffs the past few years which impacted the newly hired and middle management
