Pros

Able to see students with learning disabilities actually make improvements. Consultants actually care whether or not students are meeting goals. Students are monitored on an ongoing basis to see that learning is taking place and programs are tweaked accordingly.

Cons

Many clinicians hours flexed too much from one week to the next. Schedules for the following week were almost never completed in a timely manner, leaving clinicians unable to plan for the week. Although after-training mentoring actually existed, no time was allotted for feedback or follow-up.

Pros

Its very rewarding; you get to see that you are really having an effect on a child's success rate.

Cons

They are not flexible at all with hours, even if you have valid reason for requesting a day off (classes, weddings, babies...). This is especially true during the summer months. Also, the clinicians are way overworked and underpaid. In addition, management does not offer fair opportunities for promotion, even if one is more qualified or has been there much longer then another individual; they will promote the person they like better. It's ridiculous.

Pros

Lindamood-Bell provides an excellent and comprehensive training program to help out new employees. Also, although the program and the students can sometimes be difficult, Lindamood-Bell is committed to helping its employees succeed by providing lots of beneficial and constructive feedback.

Cons

The biggest con about working with Lindamood-Bell is that the work schedule is very unpredictable which makes personal budgeting a huge issue. Further, the advancement opportunities within this organization are limited, to say the least.
