Pros

My center has a very positive work environment, emphasis on providing a safe space for both the children and employees to work and learn. Pretty flexible and understanding with scheduling, incredibly organized with instruction. Working with a different kid per hour, sometimes same kid twice in the day but not often makes the day interesting and clear during the interview process what to expect hour and pay wise. Lots of support in training and throughout your career here! If you're up for a lot of training throughout your entire time here then definitely take the job to pick up a lot of valuable skills.

Cons

The time in between sessions is short so preparing for the next session is a bit tight at times. While the summer hours are full and abundant, school year especially the transition from summer to fall can be a little slow do expect less hours but they've been very transparent about this part so even if it's a con it's not enough to affect the rating.

Pros

The learning environment is fun. The training is pretty good; they throw a lot at you. I admire their model, though I have some ideas as to how it could be done better.

Cons

Corporatism (dress, HR, scripts, language) is stifling and unfun. They charge SO much and employees only see a small fraction.

Pros

Seeing your students succeed is always magical. Meeting interesting people and learning new ways to teach and learn is fun. Obtaining business skills and networking is a big part of the role.

Cons

Parents are hard-pressed to pay over $100/hour for the service, with an average amount of hours being 60-100. If you're not able to sell that price tag, you don't last long as a center director. If you lead with your heart but can't close, then you're on borrowed time and your many bosses are hounding you.
