Pros

Work is fairly enjoyable for what it is.

Cons

1: False rules: So Lionbridge says you can only take the rater exam 2 times. However I've taken it 3 times. The second time I took the test it said "this is the last time you can take the test", and the third time said that as well. Obviously untrue, and it's just confusing. 2. Doesn't tell you if you pass or fail: I took the test 3 times. The first time I got an email saying I didn't pass. The two other times I got nothing. No emails, nothing. Maybe I passed and I'll never know? Maybe I didn't pass? If their automated pass or fail feedback doesn't even work, it doesn't bode well for the company. 3. No support response. They just don't respond to emails. They haven't responded to mine, and a lot of reviews say the same. What's the point in saying "contact us" if you don't actually want people to contact you?I'm forced to make a post here because to give any kind of feedback. 4. No online portal: Everything is done completely through email. Leapforce which offers similar positions as Lionbridge as a convenient online portal where you can manage everything. This isn't the biggest deal, but it is something to note.

Pros

Being honest, pros for this job are that you can make your own hours, THAT'S IT

Cons

They rarely give you work to do (it's a JOB so I don't understand why not). You can only work a certain amount of hours a day and week. And also they'll just cut you off (and claim its YOUR fault). As you can tell I'm angry about ever wasting my time getting a job at Lionbridge. It took me MONTHS to even secure a job there, and I didn't even get to work there for TWO WEEKS. I tried everything in my power, but in the end, you're better off with working anywhere else!

Pros

Flexible schedule. Work from Home.

Cons

Among the worst management I have ever worked for. They want you to communicate issues and challenges but will not respond for days if at all. You are expected to work within their time limits some of which are agregioisn at best for the number of things that want reviewed. Your reviews will NEVER be right because it’s not YOURS- it’s can you match what our review team thinks is accurate. You will be unde quality review every month which means your account is locked and you can not work. The time to complete this is often “unknown” You will lose your right to privacy as they utilize cookies and monitor all activity. You will be automatically enrolled in THEIR- NOT YOUR choice of 401K and when they separate your employment you must withdraw your fees at the early withdraw penalty to yourself.

Some of the work we offer has subjective results. It's unfortunate you didn’t have a better experience with Lionbridge. I wish you the very best. - Lionbridge CEO
